Hi, coding community! Today we’re diving into the world of anchors in HTML – a powerful tool for creating navigation within a web page.

📍 What Is an Anchor in HTML?

  • An anchor is used to create a link to a specific place on the same page or on another page.

🔗 Creating an anchor:

  1. Defining the link target:
    • Use <a name="section_name"></a>, where section_name is the unique name of your anchor.
  2. Creating a link to the anchor:
    • <a href="#section_name">Go to section</a>. Clicking this link takes the user to the place with that anchor.

👁️ How it looks in the URL:

  • When the user clicks an anchor, the URL changes, adding #section_name at the end.
